SpeakerPacket

Terms of Service

Effective date: October 14, 2026
Last updated: October 21, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and SpeakerPacket for the use of speakerpacket.com and its related services (the “Service”). SpeakerPacket is operated by Kenyon Salo LLC. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

SpeakerPacket is a membership platform for professional speakers. Members build a speaker packet, publish a public packet page at speakerpacket.com, manage inquiries, contracts, and invoices, and maintain a record of speaking engagements that third parties can confirm through SP Verified. Features change over time; we may add, change, or retire features, and we will give reasonable notice of material changes that affect paid plans.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract to open an account.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for activity under your account. Keep your password confidential and tell us at support@spverified.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
  • One person or organization per account unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Plans, pricing, and billing

  • Paid plans are subscriptions billed in advance through Stripe, monthly or as otherwise stated at checkout, and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Founders Club founding rate: the first 100 Founders Club members pay $10 per month, locked for life, meaning the rate does not increase for that membership for as long as the membership stays continuously active. If a founding membership lapses or is cancelled, the locked rate is lost and any later rejoin is at the then-current price.
  • Other cohort and standard prices are as displayed at checkout and may change for future billing periods with at least 30 days notice by email.
  • You can cancel at any time in your billing settings. Cancellation stops future charges; your packet stays published until the end of the paid period, after which it may revert to an unpublished draft state. If you hold a locked rate, cancelling ends that rate for good, and any later rejoin is at the then-current price. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Failed payments may be retried and followed by reminder notices (dunning). Accounts with unpaid balances may be suspended until paid.

4. Your content

  • You keep ownership of everything you put in your packet (text, photos, documents, videos you link, and other material, “Your Content”).
  • You grant SpeakerPacket a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute Your Content as needed to operate and promote the Service, including displaying your published packet publicly. This license ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for copies already shared by others and routine backups, which are deleted in the ordinary course.
  • You are responsible for Your Content and must have the rights needed to use it on the Service, including the right to submit third-party contact details for verification requests (see Section 5).
  • Published packet content is public. Do not publish anything you need to keep private.

5. Verification (SP Verified)

  • Verification on SpeakerPacket is authentication, not endorsement. A confirmed engagement means the named contact confirmed the engagement happened as described. It is not a rating, grade, ranking, review, or guarantee of quality, and SpeakerPacket does not endorse any speaker.
  • Submit verification requests only for real engagements, and only to contacts with a genuine connection to the event. Do not fabricate engagements, impersonate contacts, or pressure contacts to confirm.
  • Contacts may confirm, decline, correct, or ignore a request. We may remove confirmations obtained by fraud and may suspend accounts that misuse verification.
  • Verified status can lapse or be revoked if the underlying confirmations are withdrawn or found to be inaccurate.
  • The standards in this section apply to every member equally, including the founder of SpeakerPacket, who is a paying member and whose engagements are verified under the same standards and procedures as every other member’s engagements.

Founder membership

The founder of SpeakerPacket holds a regular Founders Club membership (member #1) and pays the same fees as other members of the same club and cohort. Founding status and payment confer no advantage in verification. No member, including the founder, is exempt from these Terms or from the verification standards in Section 5.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or submit false or misleading information.
  • Spam, phish, scrape the Service beyond ordinary browsing, or attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls, or verification safeguards.
  • Upload malware, interfere with the Service’s operation, or probe for vulnerabilities except through a written security agreement with us.
  • Use the Service to harass any person, or to send email to people who have not agreed to receive it.
  • Resell or sublicense the Service, or frame it as your own product.

7. Third-party services

The Service uses and links to third-party services, including Stripe for payments, ActiveCampaign for email, and YouTube and Vimeo for video. Your use of those services is governed by their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

8. Intellectual property

The SpeakerPacket name, logos, the SP Verified mark and badge, site design, and software are owned by SpeakerPacket or its licensors. The verification badge may be displayed only by members in current verified standing, only in the form we provide, and must link to the live verification record. Do not alter the badge or imply verification where none exists.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee bookings, income, or business outcomes from using the Service, and we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, SpeakerPacket’s total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost bookings. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SpeakerPacket harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from Your Content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Ending the Service or your account

You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing support@spverified.com. We may suspend or end your access for violating these Terms, with notice where practical. Sections 4 through 11 survive termination to the extent of their subject matter.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes take effect 30 days after we post them and notify account holders by email, or sooner if required by law. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Dakota, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in South Dakota, and you consent to their jurisdiction, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring the dispute elsewhere.
